Introduction

Supporting Those Who Served: C4S Provides a Container to UK Homes 4 Heroes At Containers 4 Sale UK, we believe that giving back is just as important as the work we do every day. That’s why we were glad to donate two 20ft shipping containers to UK Homes 4 Heroes Pride & Passion, a charity doing vital work to support homeless and vulnerable veterans across the country. This isn’t the first time we’ve stepped up for those in need. Following the devastating wildfires in Wennington, we donated a container to help Wennington Farm Stables rebuild. Supporting UK Homes 4 Heroes is another cause close to our hearts, and we were honoured to be asked to help.

Who Are UK Homes 4 Heroes?

Founded in 2010 by Jimmy Jukes MBE, UK Homes 4 Heroes Pride & Passion was set up in response to the growing number of ex-servicemen sleeping rough on UK streets. The charity estimates that over 4,500 former members of the British Armed Forces are homeless in the UK today, a number that continues to rise.

The charity works tirelessly to feed, clothe, and re-home veterans who have fallen on hard times, whether they are sleeping rough or sofa surfing. Since its founding, hundreds of homeless veterans have been re-housed through the charity’s dedicated efforts.

Their work includes running outreach vehicles that deliver hot food, clothing, and essential supplies to veterans on the streets across London, Brighton, Bournemouth, and beyond. They also operate day centres and own two static holiday homes. Heroes Retreat in Whitstable, Kent, and Knights Retreat near Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, offer veterans and their families free breaks.

How C4S Helped

When we learned about the work UK Homes 4 Heroes was doing, we wanted to contribute in the way we know best: by providing two reliable, new 20ft storage containers.

C4S donated two 20ft one-trip containers to the charity, delivered to Sittingbourne. The container will be used to securely store supplies, equipment, and donations that support the charity’s operations
