We delivered a 10ft shipping container this week to The Crafty Cockney Pie & Mash on Canvey Island. They’re a family run traditional East End pie and mash shop on the high street, and they needed some extra storage but didn’t have a lot of room to work with. What Should a 10ft Container Sit On?

Like any shipping container, a 10ft needs to sit on level, firm ground. Concrete, tarmac, or well compacted hardcore are the best options . If you’re placing it on grass or softer ground, timber bearers or concrete pads under the corners will keep it level and off the surface.
