When wildfires swept through Wennington during the UK’s hottest day on record, lives and livelihoods were turned upside down. In response, Containers 4 Sale UK stepped in to support the local community — providing a brand-new storage container to help Wennington Farm Stables begin its recovery.
On Tuesday, 19th July 2022, the UK recorded its highest-ever temperature, triggering catastrophic fires across Wennington, Havering, and surrounding areas. The blaze destroyed homes, farmland, vehicles, and vital habitats — spreading with terrifying speed, even overwhelming areas located near emergency services.
Wennington Farm Stables was among the hardest hit. Their storage units, supplies, and shelter were completely wiped out. As the community struggled to rebuild, we at C4S saw an opportunity to help in the way we know best.
We reached out to Charlotte from Wennington Farm Stables, who confirmed the full extent of the damage. With all their storage and feed lost, the stables faced an uphill battle to recover.
To support the rebuilding efforts, C4S donated a 20ft new green one-way shipped container — completely free of charge, including delivery. The container was swiftly and expertly delivered by our trusted logistics partner, Rickabin Rentals, and received with heartfelt gratitude by the team at the stables.
